Quantum Many-body Dynamics at Milli-Kelvin Temperature

Diamond color centers such as the NV and P1 centers are promising experimental testbeds for studies of many-body quantum dynamics. We propose to use a dilution fridge to cool such color centers to milli-Kelvin temperature in order to study how extremely low temperature affects the dynamics of quantum systems. Such kind of research may seek potential applications in e.g. spin squeezing of a large ensemble of P1 centers, which may enhance the sensitivity of a spin squeezed quantum sensor.
